When Boris first came into my care, he was a nameless moving in gift and though he is not as outgoing or stylish as his older and younger brother, he has distinct character. Boris name came rather quickly to me, and he warmed to it right away when I told him about it. This is a pleasant change, as some of my older clowns were quite rowdy and hesitant to accept a mortal name, and tie themselves down to their ceramic holdings.
Boris is the middle child of the trio, Birch is his younger brother, whereas Buffoon is his older brother. He is close to his brothers yet his parents and origins are somewhat unknown and when prompted to talk about his home life, he is blunt and does not enjoy the subject. Yet, ask him about fun times with his brothers and he is happy to talk for hours about the foolishness they get up to in their free time.
Boris is a studious young clown, and cares about literature and art. When he studies he is at his happiest, as he is engaging in what he calls food for his soul. This not only informs him on life outside the ceramic, but also strengthens his spiritual presence in our home. Boris has recently enjoyed the work of an urban poet, whose words have moved Boris in ways I cannot describe. This show of emotion from Boris is something I am eternally thankful for, as it has improved his mood substantially.
Boris is a pleasant spirit. He brings many a good omen into my home. He brings long conversations when others are in the communal area, he creates an environment which is friendly and intellectually engaging. He also brings helpful spiders that not only make webs around Boris but also kill any pesky flys. However, he and his brothers have also brought about a colony of ladybirds that have taken residence in our home.
This being said, Boris is a loving individual, who is not only a cherished clown amongst his brothers but is a pal and a welcomed member in my family.
Lots of love,
The Clown Mother :0)
